CommunityAdd DebateBase to your server
Structured debate inside Discord. Pick a side, write an argument, and it is measured for respect and labelled in public. Nobody needs an account to take part.
Everything here is public
Debates started in your server, and every argument written through DebateBase, are published on community.debatebase.com for anyone to read, including people who are not in your server. Each argument appears under its author's Discord display name and avatar, with its respect label. Coaching on an argument goes only to the person who wrote it.
Private servers, where debates stay visible to your members only, are on the roadmap. They are not available yet.

What connecting does
- Adds the DebateBase bot, and the
/debate,/startand/mecommands. - Files your server's debates under Community's shared topics, alongside everyone else's.
- Publishes those debates on community.debatebase.com, where anyone can read them.
What it asks Discord for
Permission to see channels, post messages and embeds, and open a thread under a debate. It never asks to read your members' messages: text reaches DebateBase only when somebody writes it into the argument form.
You need permission to add apps to the server you pick. Discord checks that, not us. By adding DebateBase, you agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy.
